BMBW Ski and Snowboard Instructors
The Boston Mills/Brandywine SnowSports School has been providing professional instruction for over thirty years. The staff consists of more than 385 instructors and boasts the largest number of certified instructors in the Midwest.
The Boston Mills/Brandywine instructors are selected based on an intense preseason training program. They must pass extensive on-snow, oral and written examinations before they can become instructors. Clinics continue throughout the season to insure that Boston Mills/Brandywine instructors continue to improve their skiing and snowboarding teaching abilities.
The school uses the American Teaching Method which is based on improving one's skiing and snowboarding skills - including edging, steering, pressure control and balance on various types of terrain and at different levels of ability. The teaching philosophy is based on learning by having fun, with an emphasis on safety.
A very specialized group of instructors are trained to work with young children. This dedicated group creates a warm, fun atmosphere for their young students while teaching skills and safety. Classes and programs are designed for children ages 3 to 12. Boston Mills/Brandywine also has a race department consisting of experienced coaches. These coaches possess national, collegiate and international experience.
If you are interested in learning more about learning to ski or snowboard, or improving your on-the-slope skills, check out our lesson options for more details. If you are interested in joining the SnowSports School in a teaching capacity, call them at 800-U-SKI-241, ext. 2010, or stop by their offices during the season to speak with them directly. They generally have a New Instructor ski- and ride-along day later in the season, and also accept new applications during Open House weekend in October.
